Where to begin? Well nothing new here, if you know then you know. Seek out any British Facebook Page, Messaging board or Fourm and there will be plenty players ready to tell you that this is what you need: a Van Damme cable with Neutrik Connectors.

Lets talk about middle men. For those of you that don't know Van Damme is a UK based business with global distribution. Take a look at their website some day to see the magnitude of cables they have on offer as well as the number of places and people their product serves on a daily. From Abbey Road to Stamford Bridge, Edinburgh University to Eton College, Muse to Young Fathers, The BBC to CNN, your local rehearsal room and indeed independant studio. Van Damme is found everywhere and their clients list is endless! But back to middle men...

Because their cable is landed here in the U.K. its not having to pass through as many hands as other cable brands you may have heard about being good for guitar, thus, its a bit cheaper....

So is VD Pro Grade XKE any good for guitar? Well absolutely yes, bass, keyboard and monitors as well. Just like adding even a simple Boss Buffered bypass pedal into your rig. Your going to get a boost in your signals strength and high end.

This industry standard cable runs at 90pf/M capacitence which is one of the lowest for the money out there. Don't be fooled when you see this detail listed by the foot elsewhere.

For four cable method or even just getting the best of your instruments electronics into the front of your amp. You will hear a difference... You could add a good 40 metres of this stuff to your setup and would be unlikely to experience any high end frequency loss at all.

Van Damme Pro Grade is also extremely flexible compared to possibly all other cables out there, certainly more flexable than the 20 or so types I've had through my hands over the years.  Its also a lot lighter as well compared to others.

Specs below and please do shop around on this cable. I'm confident I'm offering a great price with components used, I know for a fact there are companies out there charging more for the same cable with inferior connectors. So please, dont shoot yourself in the foot! Buy Practical Patch and lets see if you an get a good 20-30 years or more out of your cable!

Cable Description:

  • Van Damme XKE Pro Grade Instrument Cable, Lo-cap 90pf/M and Flexible  - no snake oil here, Oxygen-Free tells you that the cable has been produced with the best copper for purpose. It means that this cable finished with Neutrik Ends sealing will not suffer due to the elements, therefore, no soldered connection will sever or for want of a better term "rust away" or degrade over time
  • All Black and Gold Sleeve and Tip Neutrik NP2X-B or NP2RX-B, These are the most expesive connectors of Neutriks PX range. Gold does improve conductivity however the results are possibly negligible to the human ear. What gold plating does offer is again, longevity, as moisture will not degrade the contacts
  • Branded Black Practical Patch Heat Shrink Covers Neutrik Assemblies
  • All instrument cables come with a genuine Velcro cable tie

Additions:

If you would like a Straight Neutrik Silent Jack please head to the custom section of the website and add one for the additional cost of £10.00 and follow instructions on how to communicate order precisely.

Neutrik Coloured Boots: Practical Patch carries all ten colour options as pictured. Your cable will come with black as standard. As some people have asked their purpose, I shall explain. Should you be ordering more than one of the same cable the boots can aid you in easily identifying which cable is which to link with your amps inputs and outputs or for example a patch bay on your pedalboard. The most common colours used for patchs bays are generally red, blue, yellow and green. So if you want to plan for the future you can at no extra charge...
